Microsoft and Mojang launched Minecraft Earth, an upcoming mobile game featuring a block structure that was introduced into the real world. Extensive reality technology has grown quite a lot since Pokémon Go was launched in 2016. Minecraft Earth is a free augmented reality game that will be available this summer beta for iOS and Android.
In this article, we will discuss the outstanding and unique features of this game. It promises to bring great experiences for players, who love Minecraft on Android.
Create and build
It is built on creating and building in an AR world. As the introduction shows, you can look forward to exciting adventures and create new realities. Similar to Pokemon Go, players will see digital elements in the real world of Minecraft Earth. Players can interact with them in many different ways. It makes a difference by allowing players to build permanent structures and work together.
Players will work with friends to build buildings based on “Build Plates“. Your creativity can be freely exploded on the plane of your mobile device. After completing the design, you can put them in the AR world for other players to admire.
Embark on construction
Once you have entered Minecraft Earth, you have the task of exploring the real world to gather resources and complete assigned challenges. Minecraft Earth players need to cultivate their survival skills. Such as participating in hostile crowds. This sounds familiar if you’ve ever played Minecraft. These constructive actions can be done by you alone or in partnership with friends.
AR World map
The map has a lot of icons, most of them can be pressed – chests or resource buttons that you can touch to get a reward once you’re within 70 meters – just deepen the comparisons. They act like PokeStops and the gym is scattered in Go. You approach, you press, and you get a reward. I imagine at least half of your time when playing Minecraft Earth will involve wandering around your neighborhood and tapping nearby resources or chests to plunder. Finally, though, you will run on an adventure. That when your expectations will break.
Using the phone as a window
Adventure is a three-dimensional mini-game that is projected into the real world, using your phone as a window. Reach an adventure and you’ll see an impressive but harmless hologram, appearing on your phone as you look at the world through your phone camera. It could be an array of pixel art grass in a field, a cube tree along the sidewalk or a suspicious arrangement of stones in the park.
AR has limitations. You can’t hold a real shovel and start digging through the local park to explore a new dungeon.
In a demo, some players were put into dungeons filled with skeletons. Players will be attacked and sometimes you don’t want to fight, you must do it. All adventures have different obstacles. Another demo takes players to the carts and puzzles. The difficulty of each player may be different, but the rewards that Minecraft Earth offers are also worth it.
Currently, Minecraft Earth does not have PvP mode, where players will interact and fight in real-time matches. Every participant earns the same reward, and there is no PvP there, so the focus is a lot on collaboration. Developers played with the idea of a more competitive focus, but that ruined the cooperative spirit of the game.
The technology behind Minecraft Earth
The game brings an AR world and uses real images. AR Azure Spatial Neoors AR and PlayFab are advanced technologies equipped for Minecraft Earth. Microsoft has not yet explicitly announced the method of bringing these technologies into Minecraft Earth’s deep-growth reality. However, according to the introduction, this is an extremely impressive and complicated game. Especially it does not involve CGI to introduce the
Minecraft Earth is currently attracting a lot of players’ attention worldwide. It brings creativity, brain movement, cooperation with other players. Everyone in the adventure will stand by your side. What you get from this game is help from everyone. So, that is really great.
