Gardenscapes (MOD Coins) is a match-3 style game that’s available for free on both Android and iOS devices. However, unlike the majority of color blast games on the market, it features an RPG-style storyline: you’re in charge of restoring a garden to its initial fame. In this article, we bring you Gardenscapes MOD APK latest version for Android. The mod feature allows you to use unlimited coins in the game. So you can buy in-game items for free.
The game’s storyline is a simple concept, but it’s filled to the brim. Unlike some of the Candy Crush Saga spin-offs, Gardenscapes has something to base the story on. You take the leading role of a run-down botanical garden, which once was the most popular place in town. By solving puzzles and earning coins, you can transform the area with new fences, flowers, and trees to bring it back on the map.
Austin is your butler, who you’ll meet throughout the game’s progress. He plays a vital role in the garden’s transformation, and some of his suggestions will be the key to success. As you continue, it’s possible to recruit more people who’re enthusiastic about the garden’s makeover. They’ll help you do various tasks, so you can concentrate on progressing. Moreover, part-way through the game, a dog will come to your place for you to adopt. Name him whatever you want (I named mine Kyle), but keep in mind that he’ll cause some trouble to the garden. Don’t be too harsh to the little fella, as he’ll lead to the construction of various animal-based accessories.
You should give him a kennel.
The gameplay is a big bonus
It’s self-explanatory for match-3 puzzles. You get to swap color pieces to form a big block, or a line, which explodes and disappear. For Gardenscapes, a specific number of moves will be available to you, and it’s best to complete the goals within what you’re given. Once you finish a level, you’ll be awarded stars based on how efficiently you played. There’s a maximum of 3 stars, and more of them means more coins. The in-game coins are what you can use to purchase new decorations, plant trees, and flowers, repair fountains and, build new features. Gardenscapes is a free-to-play game, so there’s an option to buy coins with real money. Some exotic decorations are worth thousands of coins, and grinding for one is going to take months, to be honest.
Color pieces in Gardenscapes can form empowered ones. They may clear a whole line, a particular color on the screen or, blast everything within a radius. The first few levels are introductory and will show you every technique within the game. From level 60, the difficulty gets unforgiving. Your first moves will determine the whole outcome, and it’s up to you to choose the best combination of pieces to fulfill goals. Too bad, you can’t replay levels, though.
I’d say Gardenscapes is a hybrid between color blast puzzling games and city building kind of games. When the fun is done with swapping pieces, you can go back to your beloved garden. Interact with Austin to purchase the best flowers and fountains with coins earned while solving puzzles. More decorations attract more people to come and visit your place.
I’m entertained with the game’s social aspect
The game lets you connect your account to Facebook. It’d be a shame if you fail to complete your goals and lose lives, but with the help of social friends, that’s going to be okay. Your real-life friends can send and receive lives from you, so it’s less frustrating to wait for the life meter to go up. There have been some complaints about delays in the sending process, but the developers have worked hard to fix it. It works effortlessly now. What is more, despite linking everyone’s account, Gardenscapes won’t let you see others’ progress.
Distinguished graphics and audio effects
The color pieces of the puzzles are taken directly from the garden’s elements like fruits, flowers, and water droplets. They’re close to the game’s storyline and set up, while also make Gardenscapes a unique experience to players.
When it comes to sounds, the creators handled them very well. The SFX when you pop a color block feel very satisfying, and the game features a good soundtrack.
How does it perform?
I have both versions of the game on my iPhone and Samsung Galaxy tablet. Gardenscapes runs like a charm on the two and turns out to be very reliable in terms of performance. No lag spikes ever occurred, and crashing is nowhere near. It’s also a good idea to play Gardenscapes for leisure anytime, anywhere. Battery drainage is not a problem for this game, which is the same case for overheating. Advertisements on this game are also non-intrusive. It’s possible to spend real money on ad removal, but I think that’s if you want to support the creators.
All in all, I’d give this game a 7.5/10. It has a compelling story and unique gameplay, along with great graphics. One thing I’m not keen about is the game’s slow progress once you get to high levels. It’s tempting to do in-app-purchases. Anyway, I’d recommend downloading and trying out Gardenscapes. It’s a fun-to-play casual game. Further, if you love Playrix’s mobile game, you should try Homescapes and Wildscapes.
